The Final Days

So the day after I left Lyddie I got a call from my boss asking if I could work for the month of October. This is my first day off, and I decided to makes a nice little picture story of a day in the life of Lyddie and Nora. It's going to be painful to relive all these memories now that my time with Lyddie is over, but I'll try to work through it.

As soon as you make any signs of getting up in the morning, Lyddie is at the window, door, and food dish in sequence (her three favorite places).

Once she figures out that yes, I WILL feed her and walk her and WONT leave her alone for days and days, Lyddie get's a little excited.
This is Lyddie for "take me out for a walk!" Unfortunately she hasn't grasped the concept of not lying on people when you want them to walk with you.
Then I say goodbye and go to work.
And when I get home...she has another excited habit, where she grabs her bear and shakes it until she's POSITIVE it's dead.
...and another when she jumps up on people.
And after her dinner, at about 7:00pm she and Mahogany are ready for bed.
So that's it! Next time Lyddie and I go LWATing, I'll be sure to update with more exciting adventures.

Hold Up!

Well I apologize, because I got very busy and missed blogging all the final days! Never fear, however, I'll be coming up with a compilation of pictures of the highlights of that time in the next few! In the meantime, here's a picture of Lyddie that Haley took while they were out walking.

Day Ten: Wherein Lyddie Has to Entertain Herself

This is Lyddie watching me while I rip up crabgrass in the garden. The rain has made it super easy so I'm trying to get it done quickly. Lyddie clearly doesn't approve.

"She thinks treats will get her out of rubbing my belly."

Day Nine: Echo and Narcissus

Tonight I yelled at Lyddie to join me for some Parks and Rec while she checked herself out in the window. It seems I'm starting to rub off on her.

Enjoy it while you can, girl, there's no full length mirror in this house. Wreaks havoc on your outfit choice.

Day Eight: First World Problems

This is Lyddie at 8am when I fed her the other day. Lately I've been waking up a little late for her to handle.

I don't spend all day getting beauty sleep like SOME of us.

Day Seven: Lone Wolf Alone

I had to work all day; Lyddie stayed in to get her beauty rest.

She moved up to the chair later. It was a big day for her.

Day Six: Barking in the Rain

It was very rainy today, but it would never dampen Lyddie's spirits. I took her out for a run anyway, and she still managed to stop and sniff every leaf on, next to, and within 30 feet of the trail.
She's beginning to figure out what it means when I'm wearing running shoes.
